Equipment

Find a concept

Start with what is already happening.

The lowest-hanging fruit for a beginner is covering headlines and news in your industry.

Pick a headline you are excited about. The energy will come through. Your job is not to invent a documentary; it is to explain what happened and give people a reason to care.

The script

Four beats.
That’s enough.

  1. Hook

    What are you about to say? Why should we care? Is this worth watching?

  2. What happened

    Say what happened and make it quick.

  3. Your take

    Give three key points, a hot take, why you like it, or some combination of those.

  4. Wrap it up

    Find a concise finish. Leave the viewer with the point.

Recording

One good line
at a time.

You do not need to nail the whole script in one take. CapCut Camera lets you build the video sentence by sentence.

    Choose “3 min.” Switch to the front camera.

Editing

  • Tap each clip and trim the dead space before and after you talk.
  • Split at any pauses, then trim that dead space too.

Title and captions

Make the topic
obvious.

TITLE

Tell them what this is.

Add big, simple text at the beginning. Use two to four words that clearly state the topic for the first three to five seconds of the hook.

CAPTIONS

Two to four words per line.

Use CapCut Auto Captions. Keep the styling basic, put them near the middle of the screen, and edit the breaks so every line is easy to read.

Publish

Export it.
Let it go.

  1. 01Upload to your platforms. Do not leave the finished video sitting in your camera roll.
  2. 02Write one or two useful sentences. Include the keywords someone would use to find the topic.
  3. 03Add three to five relevant hashtags. Keep them specific to the subject.
  4. 04Post in the morning. Then get on with your day.
